Bringing Bubble Tea to New Zealand is our Passion!

Bubble Tea which is also known as Pearl Milk Tea, originated in Taiwan in the 1980s. It is a tea-based drink that is sweetened with fructose and creamer added which comes in a variety of flavours. The drink is commonly topped with chewy black tapioca pearls and served with ice, making it a completely satisfying beverage!

Our Story

Our love for bubble tea began in Kaohsiung, Taiwan in 1997, long before it became popular worldwide.

You can see a small foodcart every corner selling milktea. After work with friends, enjoying a cup of authentic bubble tea—especially classic milk tea and papaya—became a simple joy that stayed with us through the years.

Now based in Ashburton, NewZealand, we’ve been running Glad’s Delight, a home-based baking business, for 8 years, specialising in breads, cakes, and desserts.
In 2018, “With the help and encouragement of my friend Kat, I started selling bubble tea at special events.”

Although we paused during COVID, but our customers requested us to bring it back—this time alongside our baked goodies. We may not be famous worldwide, but we proudly serve authentic flavours made with heart
